3 oz = approximately 34 cups of tea*
5 oz = approximately 57 cups of tea*
7 oz = approximately 80 cups of tea*
Brewing Instructions:
If you are a mate pro, who drinks it in a gourd with a bombilla, you probably don’t need to read our instructions to make mate.
For mate beginners: Place one teaspoon of yerba in a strainer or infuser. Add enough room temperature water to cover the yerba and let it saturate. After a minute or two, add 8 oz. of hot (not boiling) water. Let it steep for 3 to 5 minutes according to taste and enjoy!
*Don’t throw away your mate after the first steeping! Mate can be steeped 8 to 10 times, greatly increasing the number of cups shown above.
